Welcome to Arkadi Cafe, a delightful haven nestled beside the historic Arkadi Monastery in Rethimno, Greece. This charming cafe is not just a place to grab a drink; it’s an experience that embodies the warmth of local hospitality and the stunning natural beauty of Crete.

As you step into Arkadi Cafe, you're greeted by a cozy atmosphere that invites you to unwind. The rustic decor, paired with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, creates the perfect backdrop for a leisurely day spent sipping coffee or enjoying a refreshing beer. The couple who owns this gem brings a personal touch to every visit, ensuring that you feel like a valued guest rather than just a customer.

The menu here is intentionally simple yet delightful, focusing on quality over quantity. Highly recommended is the Greek yogurt with honey, priced at just 5 euros. This classic dish showcases the richness of Cretan dairy, perfectly balanced with the floral sweetness of honey—a must-try that has earned rave reviews from guests like Alaa Halumi and Ekaterina Pipkova. And while you’re indulging, don’t forget to sample their complimentary snacks, like nuts and mini cookies, that add to the charm of your visit as noted by Cezary Wojciak.

Customer feedback highlights not only the delicious offerings but also the warm and personal service that sets Arkadi Cafe apart. Olga Usik praises the inviting atmosphere and attentive staff, stating that the couple who runs the cafe goes above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable. It’s this level of care, coupled with the captivating views, that makes Arkadi Cafe a delightful retreat from the bustling sights of the nearby monastery.

While it's important to note that payments are cash-only, many patrons, like Oliver Bailey, find that the unique experience more than compensates for this minor inconvenience. The beautiful vistas, friendly service, and a laid-back vibe truly make Arkadi Cafe a hidden treasure worth visiting.

Whether you’re exploring the stunning landscapes of Crete or stopping by after a visit to Arkadi Monastery, make sure to treat yourself to a moment of relaxation at Arkadi Cafe. Here, every sip and bite is made special by the love and passion of its owners, coupled with the beauty of the Cretan countryside. Don’t miss the chance to create beautiful memories while enjoying the best of what local culture has to offer!

Nice place to grab a coffee and a beer. We tired the yogurt and honey and it was delicious. The couple that owns the place are super nice. A bit of a hick is that payement is only cash. Strongly recommend.

It was a really hot day and when we came over to the cafe, I asked if they accept card at all, the man said no but he insisted we took some nuts, 2 waters and some mini cookies for us to enjoy and cool down. Thank you kind man!
